Abigail Zachko is a versatile guitarist, singer-songwriter, and creative force whose dynamic artistry has made waves across multiple genres. At just 22 years old, Abigail’s musical journey began at the age of 17 when they joined the UK-based producer and pop artist Mura Masa on tour. Over the course of nearly two years, Abigail performed at major international festivals and played to global audiences, including high-profile appearances on The Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon and at the NME Awards.
Beyond their touring career, Abigail has cultivated a distinctive voice in the music scene as both a collaborator and solo artist. They are a key member of the acclaimed Boston-based math rock band Ski Club, a project that has quickly gained recognition in the city’s DIY scene. As a songwriter for the band, Abigail’s intricate and innovative compositions have helped define the group’s unique sound.
In addition to their work with Ski Club, Abigail also fronts their own solo project, Mingko. Described by critics as “art-damaged rock with jazz-inflected vision,” Mingko fuses experimental rock, jazz, and indie elements into a compelling and genre-blurring sound. As a songwriter, Abigail’s guitar-driven compositions remain at the forefront, showcasing their technical prowess while maintaining a deep commitment to artistic expression.
Abigail is known not only for their songwriting but also for their exceptional guitar skills. They frequently collaborate with other artists and continue to work as a versatile musician, contributing to a wide range of projects across various styles.
